What can you expect?

New for 2020-2021, we have two Graduate Finance schemes available – offering you even more choice! You can apply to Nestlé, in York or Gatwick, renowned for the many famous products we make, from KitKat to Felix, and so many more. Or to Cereal Partners UK (CPUK) – the long-standing partnership between Nestlé and General Mills, that’s dedicated solely to breakfast cereals. Based in Welwyn Garden City, CPUK make Shreddies, Cheerios, Golden Grahams… all the favourites come from here. Wherever you join, working in Finance for a company that produces such world renowned brands is an exciting place to be! The team are always involved in the conversation, so you’ll certainly never be bored. You’ll build up strong foundations across Finance, as you move around different areas of the function, learning your trade.

Over this three-year Graduate scheme, you’ll be given a whole host of responsibilities, from performing analytics to driving value within Profit and Loss, to preparing management reports to help inform decision making. You’ll learn how to balance the numbers, as well as how to forecast and undertake variance analysis – where you’ll learn how we predict anticipated sales, overheads etc. and then review any movement from those figures. But it’s not just about the numbers, key to your success with be learning how to build and manage relationships at all levels, including how to help keep our customers sweet!

Innovation matters at every level of our business. So, as a Finance Graduate, you’ll be an agile learner, who can channel your innovative nature into seriously creative business solutions. That’s a real professional placement, working on real projects while being mentored by industry experts. Putting your knowledge into practice but still learning all the time and taking great pride in what you do. It’ll give you a practical understanding of our Finance department and an entry into a potentially lifelong finance career, that will only see you progressing and progressing.

Who are we looking for?

Finance affects every aspect of the company. So you’re going to need to be able to communicate well with people from right across it and at every level. If you’ve ever worked in customer service, you know the kind of thing we’re talking about. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

This being Finance, you’ll obviously need a head for figures and plenty of confidence when it comes to processing and interpreting data, plus a degree in a related subject (Finance, Mathematics, Accounting or similar). 

Ultimately, we want people who are really going to go for it and respond quickly to training on their way to a serious career as a Finance professional. Because that’s what’s on offer, here. You ready?
