Nestlé is committed to investing in the next generation of talented young people and in 2013, we launched our Nestlé Needs YOUth initiative to help young people across Europe become more employable. Since then we have created more than 32,000 work opportunities for the next generation, smashing our original target.

To create an even bigger societal impact, the following year Nestlé founded the Alliance for YOUth programme, bringing on board more than 200 partner companies, including organisations such as Twitter and Google, to support and enhance employment for young people.  Nestlé is always eager to work hand-in-hand with like-minded organisations and business partners to create joint and individual initiatives to support youth employment, thus ensuring the impact is significant and sustainable. The aim is to give young people training and development opportunities such as employability skills, work experience and industry insight to help prepare them for the workplace.

Alliance for YOUth is the first pan-European business-driven movement pledging to help young people be better prepared to enter the professional world, in turn improving their chances in a challenging job market. Having already successfully provided training and jobs for 115,000 young Europeans, the Alliance has set a new target of 230,000 work opportunities by 2020.
